Non-commercial Partnership “European-Russian InnoPartnership” organized 4 consultation days on 21-24 December 2020 for experts who were interested in using satellite data in their profile activities. The event was organized within the framework of the project “Implementation of Copernicus Program Innovation for the Environment and Security in the Baltic Sea Region” (No. R036, Speeding up Copernicus-based innovation in the Baltic Sea Region, BalticSatApps), which has been implemented since October 2017 within the framework of the Interreg. Baltic Sea Region 2014-2020 and is funded from from the funds of the European Union and the Russian Federation. The outreach event aims to raise awareness of the possibilities of using the data provided by the Copernicus Program and the web interface for interaction between the Copernicus Program services and end-users. Kirill Kozlov, an expert in Earth remote sensing, European-Russian InnoPartnership, talked about the possibilities of using satellite data in various specialized fields, answered technical questions about the interface, demonstrated the solution of a certain thematic problem in real time. Daria Bozyreva, an invited representative of the second Russian project partner, the St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise “St. Petersburg Information and Analytical Center”, talked about the results of the project, which lasted for more than 3 years and will finish in December 2020. Visitors of the consultation days were able to get complete information about the possibilities of using the interface, about the spheres of its application and about the thematic tasks being solved. Participants will be able to test the interface in real time and ask all technical questions that may arise during the operation of the platform.
